When you run a production, stock is consumed from your inventory and a product record is created with batch tracking, expiry dates, and label information.\u003C/p>\n\u003Ch2>Overview\u003C/h2>\n\u003Cp>When you open the \u003Cstrong>Products\u003C/strong> page, you’ll see:\u003C/p>\n\u003Cul>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Batches\u003C/strong> — production batches grouping related products together.\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Products\u003C/strong> — individual product records.\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>A \u003Cstrong>date range filter\u003C/strong> to view products from the last 7, 14, 30, or 90 days.\u003C/li>\n\u003C/ul>\n\u003Ch2>Producing a Product\u003C/h2>\n\u003Cp>To create a product from a recipe:\u003C/p>\n\u003Col>\n\u003Cli>Go to the \u003Ca href=\"/help/recipes\">Recipes\u003C/a> page and click \u003Cstrong>‘Produce Product’\u003C/strong> on the recipe card.\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>The production form opens, showing the recipe’s ingredients and quantities required.\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>For each ingredient, \u003Cstrong>select which stock booking\u003C/strong> to use — the dropdown shows available stock with quantities. Ingredients with insufficient stock are highlighted in red.\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>Set the \u003Cstrong>Use-By Date\u003C/strong> for the finished product.\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>Submit to create the product.\u003C/li>\n\u003C/ol>\n\u003Cp>The product is created and the stock is consumed from the selected bookings.\u003C/p>\n\u003Ch2>Product Details\u003C/h2>\n\u003Cp>Each product record shows:\u003C/p>\n\u003Cul>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Quantity and Weight\u003C/strong> — how many units and the total weight.\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Important Dates\u003C/strong> — when it was created and the use-by date. Overdue products are flagged with a warning.\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Product Details\u003C/strong> — barcode, storage information, who produced it, the location, and the batch ID.\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Box Information\u003C/strong> (if set on the recipe) — box barcode and how many products per box.\u003C/li>\n\u003C/ul>\n\u003Ch2>Printing Labels\u003C/h2>\n\u003Cp>To print labels for a product:\u003C/p>\n\u003Col>\n\u003Cli>Open the product and click \u003Cstrong>‘Print’\u003C/strong>.\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>Choose a \u003Cstrong>label template\u003C/strong> from the dropdown.\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>Print either a \u003Cstrong>Product Label\u003C/strong> (individual) or a \u003Cstrong>Box Label\u003C/strong> (for cases).\u003C/li>\n\u003C/ol>\n\u003Cp>Labels include the product info, barcode, batch ID, expiry date, ingredients list with percentages, and allergens highlighted in bold.\u003C/p>\n\u003Ch2>Product Traceability\u003C/h2>\n\u003Cp>Admins and auditors can view a \u003Cstrong>Full Trace\u003C/strong> for any product — this links to the Reports section showing the complete traceability chain from raw materials through to the finished product.\u003C/p>\n\u003Ch2>Managing Products\u003C/h2>\n\u003Cp>Products can be managed with the following status actions:\u003C/p>\n\u003Cul>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Mark Out of Stock\u003C/strong> — when all units have been sold or used.\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Mark Archived\u003C/strong> — to hide from the default view.\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Mark Recalled\u003C/strong> — to flag a product as recalled.\u003C/li>\n\u003C/ul>\n\u003Ch2>Auditor Access\u003C/h2>\n\u003Cp>If your account has the \u003Cstrong>Auditor\u003C/strong> role, you can view products and their traceability but cannot create or edit them.\u003C/p>\n\u003Chr>\n\u003Cp>Produce products from your recipes to maintain batch traceability, generate accurate labels, and keep a clear record of what was made, when, and from which stock.\u003C/p>\n",[11,16,21,26,31,36,41,46,51,56,61,63,68,73,78,83,88,93,98,104,110,115],{"id":12,"category":5,"title":13,"description":14,"lastUpdated":8,"excerpt":15},"allergens","Allergen Management","Learn how to manage allergen information for your menu items and generate allergen matrix reports in Forkto.","\nThe Allergens page in Forkto lets you track which of the 14 major allergens are present in your menu items.
