Keeping on top of your temperature checks is essential for food safety compliance.\u003C/p>\n\u003Ch2>Overview\u003C/h2>\n\u003Cp>When you open the \u003Cstrong>Temperature Logging\u003C/strong> page, you’ll see a grid of location cards — one for each fridge, freezer, or storage area you’re monitoring. Each card shows:\u003C/p>\n\u003Cul>\n\u003Cli>The \u003Cstrong>name\u003C/strong> of the location (e.g., Walk-in Fridge, Freezer 1)\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>The \u003Cstrong>min/max temperature range\u003C/strong> (if set)\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Logging buttons\u003C/strong> — either AM/PM or numbered slots (Temp 1, Temp 2, etc.)\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>A \u003Cstrong>completion badge\u003C/strong> showing how many of today’s checks have been done (e.g., “50% Complete”)\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>A \u003Cstrong>progress bar\u003C/strong> that fills up as you log temperatures throughout the day\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>An \u003Cstrong>out-of-range warning\u003C/strong> if any logged temperature falls outside the acceptable range\u003C/li>\n\u003C/ul>\n\u003Cp>Below the cards, a \u003Cstrong>Temperature Logs\u003C/strong> table lists all recorded temperatures for the selected date, showing the date, location, temperature, and who logged it. You can search, sort, and \u003Cstrong>export this table as a CSV\u003C/strong> for your records.\u003C/p>\n\u003Ch2>Adding a Temperature Location\u003C/h2>\n\u003Cp>To set up a new location to monitor:\u003C/p>\n\u003Col>\n\u003Cli>Click the \u003Cstrong>‘New Location’\u003C/strong> button at the top of the page.\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Select the location\u003C/strong> your business operates from (if you have more than one).\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Enter a name\u003C/strong> for the temperature location (e.g., Main Fridge, Prep Area Freezer).\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Choose a location type\u003C/strong> to automatically set the temperature range:\n\u003Cul>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Fridge\u003C/strong> — sets the range to 1°C – 5°C\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Freezer\u003C/strong> — sets the range to -20°C – -18°C\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Custom\u003C/strong> — lets you enter your own min and max temperatures\u003C/li>\n\u003C/ul>\n\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>Set the number of daily checks\u003C/strong> (optional):\n\u003Cul>\n\u003Cli>By default, each location uses \u003Cstrong>AM and PM\u003C/strong> checks (two per day).\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>Toggle \u003Cstrong>‘Custom Number of Temperature Records’\u003C/strong> to set a different number (e.g., 3 checks per day). The buttons on the card will show as Temp 1, Temp 2, Temp 3, etc.\u003C/li>\n\u003C/ul>\n\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>Click \u003Cstrong>‘Add a Temperature Location’\u003C/strong> to save.\u003C/li>\n\u003C/ol>\n\u003Cp>Your new location card will appear on the page straight away.\u003C/p>\n\u003Ch2>Logging a Temperature\u003C/h2>\n\u003Cp>To record a temperature reading:\u003C/p>\n\u003Col>\n\u003Cli>Find the location card on the grid.\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>Click the \u003Cstrong>AM\u003C/strong>, \u003Cstrong>PM\u003C/strong>, or numbered \u003Cstrong>Temp\u003C/strong> button for the check you want to log.\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>A form will pop up. Enter the temperature:\n\u003Cul>\n\u003Cli>\u003Cstrong>If the location has a min/max range set\u003C/strong>, you’ll see a colour-coded \u003Cstrong>slider\u003C/strong> to help you. The location will be \u003Cstrong>archived\u003C/strong> (not permanently deleted).\u003C/li>\n\u003C/ol>\n\u003Cp>To view or hide archived locations:\u003C/p>\n\u003Cul>\n\u003Cli>Open the \u003Cstrong>Filters\u003C/strong> dropdown and toggle \u003Cstrong>‘Show Archived’\u003C/strong> to reveal archived locations.\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>Toggle it off again to hide them.\u003C/li>\n\u003C/ul>\n\u003Ch2>Clearing Temperature Records\u003C/h2>\n\u003Cp>If you need to remove the temperature logs for a specific location on the currently selected date:\u003C/p>\n\u003Col>\n\u003Cli>Make sure you have the correct date selected in the \u003Cstrong>Filters\u003C/strong> dropdown (Today, Yesterday, or Day Before Yesterday).\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>On the location card, click the \u003Cstrong>three dots\u003C/strong> (⋮) at the top right.\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>Select \u003Cstrong>‘Clear All Temperatures’\u003C/strong>.\u003C/li>\n\u003Cli>Confirm when prompted.\u003C/li>\n\u003C/ol>\n\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Note:\u003C/strong> This only clears the logs for the selected date, not all historical records. However, it cannot be undone.\u003C/p>\n\u003Ch2>Auditor Access\u003C/h2>\n\u003Cp>If your account has the \u003Cstrong>Auditor\u003C/strong> role, you can view all temperature locations and logged data, but you cannot create locations, edit settings, or log temperatures.
